Free vs paid data science courses India — honest verdict
Free options (Coursera Andrew Ng, NPTEL, Kaggle Learn) are excellent for learning concepts and building skills. They are NOT sufficient for career transitions where employers need a credential to shortlist you. The IIT certificate (~₹1.5L) solves the credential problem — the 'IIT' name gets you through ATS/HR screening that free courses won't.
